JustPassing Posted February 11, 2013 Anyone used Wells Fargo Private loans before? It looks better than Grad Plus as far as rates, but I have not heard to many good things about Wells Fargo as a bank in general. Please inform of any and all. Thanks
MediMike Posted February 11, 2013 I've avoided staring at the loan rates/awards for too much time yet, but speaking the current students I have talked to several who took the MedCap loan for $100k and love it, others question Wells Fargo's rates vs. Sallie Mae...
JustPassing Posted February 11, 2013 Author So yes to the Wells Fargo MedCap loan? Anyone who has gone this route, if you could please shed light on this that would be great! Thank you!
cinntsp Posted February 11, 2013 I took out a WF private education loan in undergrad at 4% and haven't had any issues.
JustPassing Posted February 11, 2013 Author Wutthechris, have you heard of anyone having difficulty in receiving Loan Repayment monies due to have private loans ( Such as WF) vs federal loans? Thanks for taking the time to respond
JustPassing Posted February 12, 2013 Author Thanks for the feedback guys. I will be talking with a WF rep today. I'll post on here how it goes for those who might be interested in the future.
uscbigdawg Posted February 15, 2013 I used a loan offered by the NRA (yeah the "evil" gun folks) for students up to $25k during my last semester of my undergrad. The loan was backed by Wells Fargo. In a nutshell, it was painless and since I did my primary banking with them, it was a quick and easy way to have all the banking done under one roof (kinda; WF-Finance is not the same as WF-Bank). No hassles and they did what they were supposed to as long as I did what I was supposed to. Rich
