JohnFerguson
Thoughts on a claims-made policy with $250,000/$750,000 limits for a beginner general surgery PA? Is this adequate? Should I pursue my own personal liability insurance in addition to this?
SocialMedicine
this plan probably costs your employer very little. A standard plan would be 1 million each event with a 5 or 6 million limit. Are you in a high risk specialty? Regardless of specialty I would obtain a much better plan. I would also inform the employer what he offers is worthless. For example if someone sues you successfully for 500K ... you would need to find the remainder 250K.
