medicineman1977
Anyone out there fit into this group? I have an interview scheduled for Dec 14th. Any tips/advice on the interview/essays?
SDPAstudent
It is the most laid back interview I have ever had. Do not worry one bit. Just be honest. Everyone is so kind at the school and not intimidating. Just be yourself. The interviews are simple.
Barrywertz
Interview was great. I had a great time at Union. The new building opening in August 2013 will be a great add to the PA program.
medicineman1977
My interview also went well! What a great group of people! Barrywertz, when was your interview? SDpastudent, did you just apply for the current cycle or are you a previous applicant?
Dichotomy
The school unlist me as a 2/3, or tier two, anyone else in the same boat? what are the chances of getting admission under this status...? where you guys who got interview previously put on a tier one or two status? and are you first time applicants or returning and is the later a vital point to being accepted?. Thanks guys and congrats on the interview invite.
Barrywertz
My interview was on the 18th, I've been accepted at a few places. So Union might not be my destination.
medicineman1977
Dichotomy, this was my first time applying to this program and I have never been placed a a tier (I'm not 100% sure what you mean by this). Thus, I cannot tell you your odds of getting in, sorry.
Dichotomy
Thanks guys ! Also how big is Union or any other program on PA shadowing?
medicineman1977
In my opinion shadowing is important especially if you have limited exposure to the pa profession. Exposure will allow you to truly understand the roles and responsibilities. I have 12 years of experience as a paramedic both on an ambulance and in an ER working with pa's and I still feel I could benefit from shadowing a pa in a different speciality.
