megantnl Posted November 18, 2012 Share Posted November 18, 2012 I'm a second year PA student and have recently had some fulfilling experiences working with patients going through drug or alcohol withdraws that come into the ER. I wanted to find out more about the role of PAs in drug rehab facilities (inpatient or outpatient). I'm not sure if there are many positions available in this type of practice and I also don't know what the role of the PA might be. I'd love to hear any feedback if you have some! Thanks! treejay Posted November 18, 2012 Share Posted November 18, 2012 I used to work in a 36 bed drug/alcohol rehab and they had an NP on staff because she could work independently.
