PAs working in Pain Clinics - need numbers and job descriptions and all kinds of stuff

Recommended Posts

If you work in a Pain Clinic - interventional, medication management, OUD, etc - looking for your job duties and numbers across the nation.

Setting? Government? Private? Corporate? Public Health?

What was your training?

What is your scope of practice?

Do you do ketamine infusions?

Interventional stuff? - ESIs, trigger point, joint injections, etc.

Looking to break down some barriers.

You can post here or send me a personal message thru this forum.

Thank you all

I did pain management for 10 months 2020-21:

* Private.
* No additional training, but I already had my DEA X-waiver and enough pain management CME to meet WA state's definitions.
* Only clinic, so including trigger points and bursae injections. I was told I could be trained to do SIJ injections under fluoro, but didn't stay that long. We didn't do many joint steroid injections, seemed like those went to ortho for the most part.
* Didn't do ketamine infusions, did do oral compounded ketamine.
