As my interview gets closer, I am getting more nervous. I know the format is MMI based on what they have told me so far and someone had mentioned that here. For anyone that has already interviewed, how do you feel like it went? Do you feel like they were able to get to know you via the MMI format? I've never had an MMI interview before so I have no idea what to expect and I think that's the most nerve racking part for me. I just know that when I've practiced its been hard to talk for the entire 5 minutes. Any tips would be appreciated! Even just to know that maybe there is another person interviewing this week that also has no idea what to expect, knowing that would help calm some of my nerves as well. Thank you!

Hey there friend!

I am scheduled to interview tomorrow, so you are not alone. I can't speak for this program specifically, but I interviewed at another Touro campus last year and it had a similar format of individual, group and MMI. The MMI questions were anywhere from personal questions, ethical situations, to statistical analyses. It can honestly be anything. If I had to give any advice it would be to make sure you really read and understand the questions being asked. I was so nervous the first time that I literally forgot how to read, but the interviewers were super nice and understanding. If it's something ethical, argue both sides and answer honestly what YOU would do. If you feel like you adequately answered the question and you still have time left, that's okay. Try not to be nervous and be yourself (easier said than done). For me, I try to maintain the mindset that interviews are like meeting a new friend for coffee. The program is getting to know you, but you are also interviewing them to see if they are a good fit. I wish you good luck!

Has anyone been removed from the waitlist recently?

Not yet unfortunately. My friend got an invite for this month, but declined it. I assume this is the last batch of interviews before they start taking a lot more people off from the waitlist. It's weird that they have been putting a lot of applicants on the waitlist even though most of the seats aren't filled yet.

Oh I didn’t even know they had interviewed this month! I thought they finished in December. Hopefully we see some movement in the waitlist soon then 🤞

It looks like they are holding another round of interviews on February 29. Does someone know why a waitlist is created if they still have open slots in their class? I’m so confused 🙃

I believe they re-evaluate candidates on their waitlist throughout their entire process instead of looking at them at the end when the class is full. Every program has a different approach to their waitlist so it’s hard to know for certain.

I was placed on the waitlist for an interview in February 7th. I’m super anxious! Is there any hope for receiving an interview? I don’t really have any big updates other than I’ve been continuing to receive PCE but I don’t know if I should send this as an update. Has anyone been removed from interview waitlist recently??

I didn’t send an email. Didn’t have too much to update between then.

This past week, people from the MHS program have been accepted. There are a few people from that program that were placed on the waitlist. Good luck to everyone that are awaiting for their decision!

Thank you for the update!

Current MHS student here. For people applying to the MHS program, make sure you have a 300 on the GRE. You can do the MHS program with less than a that, but in order to be accepted they want you to have 300. Unless you are a straight A student, you will likely not be accepted without it. If you go into the program with less than 300, you’ll have to take it during Christmas break (we had all of December off). Cramming it in one month is possible but going straight into studying for the GRE will be draining after a tough semester. Highly encourage taking it before July! Lmk if you have any questions.

How long did it take for you to hear back after applying to the MHS program??
