Moderator ventana Posted March 20, 2023 Moderator Share Posted March 20, 2023 So left my job due to being offered a PAY CUT, when everyone else was getting a raise (I had been hired above their salary scale and they decided to enforce them) This is in spite of being the #1 producer in the system with great Press Ganey and earning the respect of the all local docs and specialists. Seems they think a highly experienced PA is worth about the same (or less) then a new grad going into Urgent Care. It was a hard line in the sand that I would not take a pay cut when I was already underpaid by about 50k So I started my own business', and have a Physician as CP I just declined the third request for a raise. First time I gave her a slight raise, second time I also gave a slight raise, this time I have had a hard now. It just perplexes me to be told that I MUST give a raise when I am thousands in the red, 3 months into a start up, not yet covering my expenses...... They have sealed their fate that I will go with a different doc It will cost me about 10k in supervision a year and I can just get a DoctorsForProviders doc that doesn't want to charge more and more Dependent status is stinky

May in fact offer her a pay cut just to set the record straight who is in control...... 1 1
Billdog29
Ugghh yeah that is a lousy CP - three months in and wanting a 3rd raise? I’m curious if the doc just had something else in mind going into it, or was laying in wait to suck you dry. How well did you know this person?
