MVPP2003
Hello ya'll ! I am a PA of 11 years w/ IM, inpatient cards experience and a rare opportunity/unheard sprung up. Due to the RN shortage, a cardiology group has invited me to interview to become the APP patient liaison for outpatient cardiology patient. This would be a piloted position. Essentially triaging patient cases during business hours, sorting through tasks, answering any residual questions patients may have post OV discharge, INR adjustments, etc. No direct patient interaction except for " the rare occasions". Sounds to good to be true yes ? Anything that ya'll recommend for screening questions to expand on the role? Any insight in personal experience is much appreciated. Moderator ventana Posted February 1, 2023 Moderator Share Posted February 1, 2023 Sounds like a fully telehealth position designed for an RN with written protocols. sorry not for me.
sas5814
Are they paying you PA money to do this? Its pretty low key but, as stated, sounds more like a RN job. Your skills will deteriorate as time goes by. If I was retired I'd do it. I don't think I'd do it mid career. Next job interview... tell us about your last position? I talked to people on the phone..... Thanks for coming in. Edited February 1, 2023 by sas5814
