2022-2023 Application Cycle- OHSU

Recommended Posts

I got an email today that says “The Admissions Committee has concluded its candidate selection for the Class of 2025 and will continue to consider candidates on the alternate list should vacancies in the class become available prior to matriculation.”

But I will be declining my spot on the waitlist since I was accepted today into my top choice. Goodluck to everyone!

Does anyone know the difference between a “hold status” versus a “wait list”?

any insight will be helpful , thanks !😊

I believe a hold status means they were unable to make a decision about your application and will reevaluate when the committee meets again. Wait list or alternate list means you are a potential candidate for a seat in the program if someone does not accept a spot into the program or they do not fill all the spots at the end of interviewing all candidates. You can be pulled off of the waitlist up until the start of the program. But sounds like they don’t give out where you land on their wait list.

Good luck 🙂
