Is It Time To Ditch OTP?

Anyone following HB607 and HB 7053 in FL?

Its a pilot program apparently for APRN where you need 10k hours of supervision, take additional courses and then sit for an exam at the end, but you can only open independent practice in areas marked as critical. And PAs are not included in this? 

Anyone has any more info about this?

Actually PAs were included in the original bill but not in the companion bill which only mentioned NPs. There is a very strong grass roots effort nationally to either have PAs included in the companion bill or to kill the bill off. Fingers crossed.
