Here was the email I received in response- Thank you for your willingness to serve with Mercy Ships! Unfortunately, at this time, we are not able to utilize PAs in medical roles. While we at Mercy Ships fully recognize your skills and ability, the position is not internationally recognized. Our protocol with these developing countries only allows us to use certain professional medical licenses at this time. While this is not the news I wished to give, we would love to have you on board in a general role. Your time and service will be a blessing!
