spatel1
So I failed to read the top of the CASPA page when entering in reference's information, and it automatically sent an email to my professor... when I have yet to ask him for a reference letter... what should I do? Administrator rev ronin Posted April 23, 2012 Administrator Share Posted April 23, 2012 Go to him immediately, admit your goof, and ask his input.
crystaltide
Go to him immediately, admit your goof, and ask his input. Seconded. I almost did the same thing. Glad I read the fine print first :P
topherak
If you update/delete the reference in CASPA, it will send a rescind email for the time being.
spatel1
But nonetheless he still received an email right? ... Thank you for all the advice!
crystaltide
Yep, CASPA says it emails the person immediately after you save the reference. :/
Allegro
Best to be upfront with your reference about it. It's an honest mistake and easily explained; recinding the reference just adds another layer of confusion, and messes with the reference's account if you decide to add him back in after he's agreed to write your reccomendation.
