BayPAC
I'm considering applying to a NP position but not sure if I should. Any advice? Have you ever applied to a NP position and ended up getting the job?
Guest HanSolo
I have no experience in this, but you've got nothing to lose but time. If the application is quick I would say might as well.
Kaepora
Go for it. I've applied to "PA" positions. I think 9/10 they'll take either because, depending on the state, there's really no difference.

IMGtoPA
Yeah, All the time. Unless its for OBGYN or Psych. I applied to a post for a PMHNP (mental health trained) ARNP.I got the job, it's my current job. Some practices (like mine) just have never employed a PA before. BirdDogPA
Yes, I got two of my PRN jobs by applying to NP positions.
WestCoastBestCoast
When I was job searching, I applied to both PA and NP positions. I got my resume and cover letter together, and ignored the fact that they had stated that they were looking for an NP. I got a few refusals back from NP only jobs, but I ended up being offered a job that had been marketed as NP only, and found out that they already had a PA! It seems like it's a matter of ease for job posting in some places, so my advice is always to apply if you're interested in a job. Make them deny you if they really don't want a PA.
