cboylb Posted November 22, 2016 I will be moving to Ohio later 2017. Anyone own their own practice in the Buckeye state?
clarsen09 Posted June 2, 2018 I'm not in Ohio but we do have a PA owned Practice in Maryland. It's the best thing we ever did. We have an MD as the "medical director" who basically has nothing to do with our practice, only using him as a "supervising physician" whom we never contact and ALWAYS consult with specialists. Do it!!! Do it for your own sanity especially if you have been practicing for more than 10 to 15 years and are burning out. Do it for your own mental health!!! And if you have any questions, I know I'm not in Ohio but I have a few classmates who went out to Ohio to work so I may be able to help. But I can't encourage you enough to pull the trigger and do it!!! Don't be afraid, because at first it's terrifying but you will be amazing!!!! I know this is an old post so I hope you are up and running and did decide to open that practice. I would be really interested to hear where things are today!!! Good luck!!!
ndwise2 Posted April 8, 2019 Clarsen09 I'm thinking of starting up the same structure as you. Wondering what the average incentive pay for a Supervising Physician is...same thing, no involvement in the practice...just a "medical director"
