fishbum
If it were chemistry or a&p, I think you'd need to retake it. But most programs that I'm aware of don't require physics, so I doubt that that one grade will become a huge deal. There are about as many ways to calculate a gpa as there are PA programs. However, I'm not aware of any that include math classes in the sGPA calculations.
ilygurlie
Do PA schools then calculate their own science gpa? Or go by the one CASPA uses? The one CASPA uses includes physics but not calc or statistics, so that physics grade is really bringing my sgpa down.

If you're concerned about the physics grade dragging down your sGPA, then retake it, but retakes average - so even getting an A in it will average to a B/C. It'll help but it won't revolutionize your sGPA. It will likely look even worse if you retake it and DON'T get an A in it vs just not retaking it. Math is not included in science GPA, just cumulative GPA.
ilygurlie
^Thanks for the clarification. I think I won't retake it, as I hated the course and only took it when i was iffy about future careers. I took several upper level biology courses with A's so hopefully that'll make up for it. tomasall
I agree that the most programs do not require physics. But if you are not satisfied with it, you can go to the https://assignment.essayshark.com/physics-help.html and view the various programs to retake physics.
