Hello Everyone!! I just submitted my application the other day now the waiting begins! @JLM28 the Spokane interviews last year were in late December/early January. I interviewed last year in Spokane and we had individuals interviewing in Spokane for a seat in the Anchorage class. So, it is a mix of everyone bachelors/masters and different site choices from my understanding. I do know that they got rid of the Spokane, WA bachelors option, so I do not know if the interviews will be sooner or not because of that. I just advise the sooner you get your application in the sooner you will hear something due to UW being rolling admissions. I hope this helps!

I know Spokane interviewed in October last year as well....this summer, although going by quickly, is dragging on as I wait anxiously to hear anything! Did you re-apply this year to the Spokane site? I also wonder how getting rid of the BCHS option will change the time frame for interviews. Best of luck to us both, Paige!

@JLM28- that right they did interview in October last year! I forgot about that because I interviewed in January. I did re-apply this year, but I put Tacoma as my #1 choice and Anchorage as #2. I am a bachelors seeking applicant. I am unsure how getting rid of the bachelors option would change the time frame. I am hopeful it would change the time frame because I would like to know sooner than later if I get an interview this time! good luck to you as well!!

Hey everyone! I'm a TC4 student, I was accepted last year. Although I'm not allowed to disclose any information about the interview I can tell you what helped me SO MUCH this time last year when I was waiting to hear if I had an interview:

1. Buy at least 2 books off amazon that are specifically designed for you to knock your interview out of the water. I read "How To Ace The Physician Assistant School Interview" It helped me so much! I had an interview at Stanford 2 years ago, and went it totally blind then I applied to MEDEX read this book and it totally changed my whole perspective.

2. Get a few people to do mock interviews with you, especially someone that either makes you nervous or is an authoritative role-- this would be like a teacher, supervisor, physician that you work with etc. The physician I worked with "interviewed" me the day before I drove to WA, and I was surprisingly embarrassed and started fumbling over responses!

3. Buy a suit now if you don't have one. Even if you don't have an interview yet, chance are you will have an interview sometime in the near future because I know all of you are awesome! Get it tailored and look fly, B!

4. Record yourself while pretending to answer questions-- this may seem awkward, but it'll help you see yourself how your potential professors see you. You can also work on making more eye contact and not doing nervous habits like touch your face (I'm guilty!) or twirl your hair.

5. If you read one of the books I mentioned above, it'll mention start working on your answers now. Of course no school wants you to sound scripted, but you'll at least be equipped with answers to those pesky "strength and weakness" questions.

If you have any other questions, you can message me here.

I'm also the student leader of the MEDEX Tacoma Foot Project. This is a student run "clinic" that offers free foot clare to Tacoma's homeless community. If you live in the area and want to volunteer, let me know and I can tell you more about this project.

Bye for now!

When were you notified about your interview? I know Tacoma is last to do theirs. I'm going nuts reading about all the people getting theirs in Seattle, Spokane and Anchorage.

CONGRADULATIONS jlynneg and DBL R!!

It's so exciting to know that Tacoma applicants are starting to receive interview invitations today. Have been keeping myself "extra" busy (full-time course load, working, volunteering, etc..) to keep mind preoccupied. So excited! Hopefully more invites go out today!

jlynneg, I know you mentioned you live in Washington. DBL R, are you local? I, myself, am a state applicant (California).

 Good luck everyone!
