NYCPAC Posted June 21, 2016 Is there a solid base salary? Any productivity incentives? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jysn240 Posted June 21, 2016 Author 5000 semi-monthly No productivity bonus written. They said it'll be 100% transparent and we can work out a bonus system once they see how much I can bring in. I'm the first full-time prescriber that they're hiring so it'll be a learning process for us both.
jlumsden Posted June 22, 2016 Is there tail coverage? How much call are you stuck with? Do you have a non-compete agreement?
DizzyJ Posted June 22, 2016 Company vehicle? A travelling psych position? $5,000 = 62.50 an hour/40 hrs a week. How many patients will you be required to see?
jysn240 Posted June 23, 2016 Author no non-compete didn't mention tail coverage or malpractice (will ask) about 20-24 pts a day max no call, M-F, 7 holidays
kittryn Posted June 27, 2016 wait - 5,000 SEMI-monthly...does that mean $10,000 a MONTH? company vehicle and all else - sounds like a sweet deal, if you like psych. just be prepared - there is a big knowledge base required to safely prescribe the myriad psych meds out there now, and there is more and more evidence of "newer" (past 10-20 years) psych meds having delayed but catastrophic side effects. do you feel you have the knowledge base to provide safe patient care under those conditions? plus - psych pts can be...well...I get them all the time in my specialty, and it can be challenging to accurately isolate and diagnose their conditions and not just treat symptoms. ps - ooh, wait.....20-24 pts a DAY?!? eek....I don't know about you, but I need to KNOW my patients to feel I am giving quality, responsible, appropriate health care. I left PC bc they had the same pt flow expectations. I just can't do it.
medic25 Posted June 28, 2016 thank you for the replies! I took the job. Winter is coming... Winter is here, at least according to the White Raven....
