nebero
I was approached by a chiropractor to perform DOT exams in her office. There is no MD medical director in her clinic. Will I be violating any rules if I do it? I do DOT exams at my other part time urgent care job. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
Administrator rev ronin Posted July 20, 2015 Administrator Share Posted July 20, 2015 As far as DOT is concerned, probably not, as long as all the paperwork is filed appropriately. As far as PA scope of practice goes, I know of no state in which a DC is allowed to supervise a PA.
Febrifuge
Yeah, what Rev said. Who would be your collaborating/ supervising MD in this place? Sounds really kind of sketchy.

Do not allow to be use. There's reason this chiro wants you to perform this exam in his office. It is because they don't have the medical training required to complete a full DOT exam. Yes. Chiropractors are listed on DOT form as among those who can complete a DOT form (shocker) but yet doesn't possess the medical training necessary to do so. Good luck on whatever you decided.
