LAUNCHBRICK
My company that I have been at for 6 months I found out is getting audited my an insurance company that represents 70% of their business. Is this normal to be audited? Should I be worried?
Guest Paula
DId you get a replacement SP? That will answer your question of whether or not you should leave. Your management sounds like they want you to do as many procedures as possible as that is where the money is and that can border on fraud if treatments are done that are not really necessary. I think we need more specifics here in this case.
LAUNCHBRICK
Yes I have a new SP who had been with the clinic. Treatments are never done that are not necessary. I am just not familiar with insurance audits and how often they occur.
Administrator rev ronin Posted June 25, 2015 Administrator Share Posted June 25, 2015 While you, personally, may not be at fault, the possibility clearly exists that the practice as a whole has been engaging in fraudulent treatment and billing behavior. LAUNCHBRICK
Have not been asked to change charts nor would I if they did. I think its time to move on from this practice...
