PA Shadowing in Maryland/Washington D.C area?

Hi everyone!

 

I am currently a junior at University of Maryland, and have been wanting to go to PA school for a very long time. I have tried to volunteer in a variety of health care settings, such as outpatient and inpatient OT, am currently volunteering at the Emergency Department at Shady Grove hospital, but I would love the chance to actually shadow a practicing PA who works in the area.

 

Does anyone who lives in the Rockville / Bethesda / Washington D.C area have any shadowing opportunities?

Hi Sofia,

 

Were you able to find anyone to shadow? I live in your area and I am also interested in shadowing a PA. What do you do for volunteering? I am also looking to obtain my patient care hours as well. I currently work at the National Institutes of Health doing research based work and not clinical. I am interested in anything that will give me clinical experience.
