Moderator EMEDPA Posted October 13, 2014 Moderator Share Posted October 13, 2014 both seem like lowball offers if you have prior O.R. experience. consider some new grads in both specialties make close to that...
Corpsman2PA
Agree with Emed. As a new grad, a lot of my peers are taking offers pretty close to that (and above). I think the question for you is do you like the OR more or the clinic more? Answer that for yourself Then renegotiate the starting salary to much higher. KMD16
OR vs Clinic work? Next step. Ask yourself what's the salary for Ortho in your area are? Get a hold of AAPA salary data. In your shoe. Will go with the 2nd. You will gets lots of hands on experience. No competition with residents. It would be you and the surgeon.
PennPA4
Thanks guys the positions are in Pennsylvania, which like most northeast are either saturated or low paying. No I cannot move because of the family and young kids.
