You'll use Ning until you get here, and then someone in your class will get a gmail account up and running for the class (with a google drive that will have copies of most of your textbooks, so don't buy books until you start classes and decide what you really want in hardcover...there won't be many.) Also, beware, you'll get class syllabi that list a "Required" textbook, and then on the first day of class, your instructor may say you won't need it. They already have most of the class filled (I think she said 37 thus far), and they were probably just going to fill the rest from the waitlist.
