Administrator rev ronin Posted February 13, 2014 Administrator Share Posted February 13, 2014 Obviously I plan on doing the best I can in PA school regardless of where I go but right now I have to choose between two programs: Pacific University uses Pass/No Pass and Loma Linda uses grades. If for whatever reason I decide to apply to a residency program after PA school am I going to be ineligible if I don't have a GPA? Of course not. One of the class of 2012 got into a residency right out of school.
JohnnyM2
Notice that those jobs are asking for experience. They only care about your GPA if you are a new grad. Obviously you should learn all you can as a PA student because you have the PANCE ahead of you, and if you graduate at the top of your class, you can always flaunt it. MedicalRN
Those jobs are from New York Presb. - Cornell and Columbia Medical Centers. They are extremely difficult to get into, so they have cutoff GPAs for any job that hires new grads. They do the same to RN applicants. I've not see it anywhere else. Phooey
Zero. An instructor from my program gave me a reference to a doc she knew and I was golden.
