I haven't used MD consult, but i can tell you that from my experience with UpToDate, it's a bit clunky on the phone. The info is of course great and comprehensive but I feel like it's a little too much stuff for the phone and often doesn't allow me to get to the management answer that I want fast enough. I actually just posted in a new thread about something else i use, AgileMd for my outpatient stuff which is a lot faster if you're looking for another alternative.
