bms1015
Hello all, I hope this is the correct forum to be posting in. I am going to be a second year PA-S as of 8/19/2013. I will begin my hospital rotations in general surgery. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on books to buy to carry at the hospital and/or read at home? So far I have Current Surgery & High Yield Surgery and I will be carrying a Pocket Bates for my PE (at least in the beginning). I've been told Washington Manual is good, does anyone recommend and books in particular to purchase? Thanks, Brian Montgomery, PA-S
Administrator rev ronin Posted August 3, 2013 Administrator Share Posted August 3, 2013 It isn't. PA residencies are for after you get your PA-C. You want the PA Student forum. (edit) ... and now it's been moved. Thanks, whichever mod did that.
greenmood
I'll be the first to say... get Surgical Recall. It's a little brick of a book and will really help with the basics you need to do well on the rotation. It's in a pimping format which preps you to answer questions asked by your preceptor. I haven't used the other ones you mentioned.
