wesr_gordon
I gather the degree is probably more attractive to have but other than that is there any profound difference in certificate vs. degree programs that would cause any sort of problems with hiring in the future? marktheshark89
Given that all PA programs by 2020 (I believe) will be required to graduate students at the Master's level, there is the potential for it to create problems in the future if employers begin to stipulate that they want the Master's degree. To be honest, I'm not sure or familiar with if that would happen or how likely it would be, but its something I would consider and be weary of if I was pursing a certificate program without already having a Masters or having plans to complete a Master's after. There are online completion programs for practicing PAs without a Master's degree to obtain one and these would be another option after attending a certificate program.
