arijos0222 Posted January 19, 2013 Hi, I have been lurking on SDN for quite sometime, as a Pre-Med student. I have been considering PA school. I see that PA schools require 2 years of work.... So should I just get my Bachelors of Nursing, work for 2 years, and then apply to PA school? PA is ultimately my goal, and I would like clinical experience on the job before I apply to a PA program.
cinntsp Posted January 19, 2013 Some PA schools require HCE and others don't but having HCE puts you ahead in the game.

premed6 Posted January 20, 2013 It would be a good start. You need 2000 hours of experience and you need your bachelors degree also. If no PA schools take you then you can apply to the masters program for nurse practitioner.
