annazbird Posted September 10, 2023 I am unsure if tail coverage is needed. If Covered under hospital claims made policy during time of employment. At time of separation is tail coverage needed? I initially thighs yes. But after some review I am not sure since reading on a few sites that since the policy remains active, there is no need for tail. Quote

annazbird Posted September 10, 2023 Author Thank you so much! I came across this information only recently and have been looking into it. I am awaiting clarity from risk management(in writing) on the what occurs if the policy remains active although I am no longer employed. I believe it is as you noted .([If] the policy remains active, there is no need for tail) But would like this in writing. In addition to requesting notification if the policy is cancelled. Quote
Mayamom Posted September 11, 2023 When I left the prison system I did not obtain any tail insurance. The attorney for the program who I trusted told me as long as the prison kept the policy UTD (which they have too) I would be covered by this current policy. I imagine a hospital has to keep their policy UTD also. 1 Quote
annazbird Posted September 19, 2023 Author Awesome! Thank you! This seems to be information not well known, but something we need to become more informed about. Quote
