Bria1111
Hello Everyone, I am applying to PA school for the 2023-2024 cycle. I am entering my senior year and would like to hear other stories or advice that can help me improve my applications. My GPA is 3.29, My PCE as a medical assistant is 275 hrs, and ~ 317 hrs as a pharmacy technician. I am a Residential Assistant at my school. I have no shadowing hrs or volunteer hrs. I work with a doctor but mostly with NPs. It isn't easy finding a PA to shadow. What do you think? What can I do to buffer my application to be great? Moderator EMEDPA Posted June 19, 2023 Moderator Share Posted June 19, 2023 With a lower GPA, you really need more HCE hours to be competitive. 600 hrs is basically 12 weeks. You will be competing against folks with higher GPAs and years of experience. Consider volunteering at a free clinic or doing a medical mission to have something interesting to discuss in your personal statement.
