Each interview cycle they will accept 1-3 students at the most, by the end of the interviews, they will decide from the whole pool of students that were placed on committee hold and fill up the remaining 45-50 spots. When I was admitted last year, I was on committee hold as well and was waitlisted at #3 afterwards. The waitlist tends to move quite a bit from what I have heard, so don't be too concerned. So does that mean everyone who didn’t get accepted after their interviews will be placed on the committee hold? Or is it possible to be rejected as well? I think they mentioned they have 3 interview dates for this cycle but have both morning and afternoon sessions. You can either be accepted, placed on a committee hold, or rejected after the interview. You will either be rejected, admitted, or put on committee hold. If you are put on committee hold, do not be upset because it simply means they want to see the rest of the applicants and review it once again. From my understanding, once you have been placed on hold, you cannot be rejected. The worst thing you will have happen is you will be placed low on the waitlist. However, again, the waitlist moves quite a bit, a lot more than you'd think. I believe in this current class, it went past 12+ on the waitlist. Do you mind if I ask if you were invited to interview with them or did they just send you a rejection letter? also if you applied to other schools keep your head up. But it’s all good, I’ve had a few acceptances already so I’m not super stressed. I applied to 18 schools this cycle cause I wanted to up my chances. But I’m also from VA so I don’t know if they take too many out of state students. I’m the email though, it said they had over 1900 applicants for a 60 person class. thank you for your kind words though! We will be notifying all applicants of a decision via email by the end of October. Our last interview day is in November."
