JC8654
Are there any PA programs that have a larger focus, or possibly a dual degree, directed toward Clinical research?
Moderator EMEDPA Posted April 27, 2023 Moderator Share Posted April 27, 2023 There are a few PA, MPH programs out there, but not a lot. The purpose of PA school is to train a clinician. The purpose of med school is to train a clinician who can also be a medical scientist. Think about that.
kyoung1
The Program at St. Bonaventure University has the students complete an applied research project. This is usually a very small project that can be completed within the time constraints of the program. Our purpose is to have the students go through the steps of a research project. This will hopefully minimize fears about the process and spark an interest in research among PA's.
