CXPAC
I’m currently working in an ER with previous EM experience. I will be relocating to the Houston area later this year. I’m hoping to get some information from those who are currently practicing or with previous experience of working in this area regarding to different hospitals and staffing companies in this area. I know it will be really helpful to have some information before the job search. Any hospitals or staffing companies you have heard good things about? Especially in terms of autonomy, PA friendliness, salary, and benefits. I would really appreciate it if you could share your valuable experience and recommendations with me. ohiovolffemtp
I just found out about this web site, Ivy Clinicians: https://ivyclinicians.io/ that can give you a list of all hospitals in a city and which EM staffing group staffs them. It says it shows which ones have posted jobs and also that it can send an email to connect you to the recruiter for that site. I have no direct knowledge of the Houston, TX area.
CAAdmission
Someone from Texas will have to confirm, but I have heard their licensure process tends to be on the more painful side of the spectrum.
TWR
Reach out to the Texas PA Association and speak to anyone that can put you in touch with the local, PA group.
