jmj11
Any PAs in the State of Washington who works with one physician? When you completed your practice plan, what did you indicate you would do if the SP is gone? Do you have an alternative SP? Do you cease practice? Contrarian
I put "Cease to practice" on the practice plan... Then searched for an alternate... and as soon as I had one... had them listed with HPQA. In reality, my SP secured the alternate because she goes out of state often due to a aging parent... but generally keeps her cell phone on from 0800 - 1800. So its only a issue if she leaves the CONUS. I have discussed patients with her from here while she was in DC. But then again... when I was deployed in 2005, 2006-2007 to Iraq, Afghan, Sudan... my SP was in Nebraska. Contrarian
sbellin
Ceasing to practice is not necessary if the SP (or an alternate) is available by phone. Your practice plan can be made to not requirement to have them in-house.
