chrissy0022
One of my LOR's is from a Distinguished fellow of the AAPA who has been practicing for over 30 years... do you guys know if that carries any weight given his distinction?
Moderator EMEDPA Posted August 27, 2012 Moderator Share Posted August 27, 2012 if he is a "big name " in the pa world it might. the dfaapa by itself probably doesn't carry a lot of wt. but his tenure in the profession probably does especially if he mentions it in his letter; " in my 30 yrs as a practicing pa I have seen very few students more suited to pursue a career as a pa than chrissy0022". the dfaapa if you don't know is an award almost any pa who has been in practice for 13 yrs is eleigible for. if you have taught a few students, written an article or 2 or done any community service you have enough "points " on their scale to qualify. they grant them to almost anybody- emedpa, dfaapa
chrissy0022
yeah he said he wrote in there that he has mentored many PA's and with me he feels like he mentoring a PA student and not a pre-PA hopeful (Something along those lines) and Said that wit all my experience and knowledge i would be way ahead of my classmates upon beginning of PA school...
