Greetings future PAs,

My name is Elizabeth and this is my second year applying to MEDEX with my first interview. I am very excited and nervous at the same time. I'm unsure on how the Zoom interview will go and I want to reach out to anyone else that feels the same way. Id love to get get to know a few of you prior to the Zoom interview to feel a bit more comfortable. I look forward to meeting you all on 11/14, and hopefully one day in the classroom.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Boudreau

Wondering about more applicants at Brenau University PA program. Applied early in May and have an interview on August 31st. Anyone else hear from or schedule an interview with them?

      Hello everyone,
I am currently in the process of applying to cardiology jobs. I'm finishing up school in NC and applying out here as well, but ideally I'd like to end up back home in the Seattle/Tacoma area after graduating.
I do have a few leads, including an initial call with a recruiter for one of the larger hospital systems later this week, but I am wondering if there are any cardiology PAs here practicing in the Seattle/Tacoma area who would be willing to share any insight about salary, the different hospital systems, current job market, etc.

      Hello everyone,

After a stressful interview cycle, I am fortunate enough to be accepted to both MEDEX Seattle and Rush Chicago. I'm trying to decide which program to attend.
I live in Seattle, my parents/friends can be my support system. In my clinical year, I can move back home to save on rent money when I move to my rotation sites. I love traveling and meeting new people. Attending PA program in Chicago will be such an adventure. Also, Rush's class size is significantly smaller MEDEX's (30 vs 50). My background is in EM and I'm planning to practice in EM after graduation. Due to the higher number of trauma centers around the Chicago area, maybe I have more job opportunities in Chicago?

I am looking for a program with a support system and a family feeling among colleagues and faculties. Please let me know if you have any insight or advice.

      Hi there,
I have my 2nd interview for an inpatient GI position coming up. It sounds like a good step for me coming from family practice/ geriatrics. can someone tell me what day to day inpatient service is like? What are challenges I might not be aware of ahead of time? what are good resources to study?
      thanks TW
