catterbury
Hey everyone, Why do you think some schools request a resume? I would think that between CASPA and the supplementals they would have received more information than could ever be consolidated on to a resume anyways. Thoughts? ToppDog
Maybe they want to see if you know how to write a good one? Or they're checking for inconsistencies between it & the CASPA app? Not sure, just guessing :)
dkwee
Nothing, really. Like ToppDog said, just to check for inconsistencies. And maybe to check your formatting to see how creative/organized you are in terms of composition.
greenmood
Have you printed out CASPA? When I did so, it was kind of an ugly mess. Maybe they'd like to see a brief summary of your educational and professional life.
ToppDog
To the above, good point :) It does actually annoy me that I cannot have my app read in the format & font I created it in, so maybe it annoys the admin in a similar way.
azucardulce
Do any of you have a suggestion for how to format a CV for the specific purpose of the PA school application? I have a CV formated for research/academic positions as I am currently a postdoc research associate. I am wondering whether it is wise to put my volunteer HCE upfront (although this is on the application elsewhere) or at the end as it is currently formatted.
