AltforLiv
Hello! I have discovered the hard way the number of US PA programs that do not allow applicants who hold a bachelor's degree outside of "US Accredited Institutions." This is especially frustrating for myself, having a bachelor's degree from an excellent Canadian institution, the University of British Columbia, and my prerequisites completed at Oregon State University in the US. Wish I had read the fine print more closely before spending $$$$$ in CASPA/supplemental applications! I thought it would be helpful to list the PA programs I have found that do NOT allow bachelor's from outside the US: Arizona (ATSU) Idaho State University (with option to request that requirement be waived) To be continued... Moderator EMEDPA Posted September 16, 2018 Moderator Share Posted September 16, 2018 that surprises me. UBC is a well known school and should be considered equivalent to a US program. I'm sure there are programs out there that will recognize a degree from there.
AltforLiv
I agree it is a well known school. That's why I found it surprising. So far its only been a few programs, but I wanted to make that consideration known so others don't run into it!
