Medical newspapers, journals or publications?

Recommended Posts

I found an interview question on a website recently that asked the following... "Which medical newspapers, journals or publications do you read to stay in touch with new medical discoveries, and current events?"

I was wondering if anyone here has recommendations for materials to stay updated and informed, partially to be ready for interview season (fingers crossed ?), but also to just be more knowledgeable about medicine? I would be willing to pay for materials, but would prefer something less expensive!

Medscape CME is free, but the CME part doesn't kick in until you're licensed.

Most professional societies have a student rate, that includes their journal.  If you're wanting to go into a particular specialty after graduation, it's a no-brainer to sign up for that.
