Raine1
I am on the waitlist for a program that I really want to get into. How much does the waitlist move? What postition do I need to be in to have a hope of getting in? I would love any feedback.

wisemakl
Ask the program. Some will tell you what rank you are in, others do not have a ranking and simply review all applicants when a position arises. They will probably be more than willing to tell you how many people they typically pull from the waitlist.

winterallsummer
It depends. If it's a competitive school, your chances are slim. If it's a regular school, many people will end up dropping their seats to go to another school. A lot of people will wait until the very last minute to do so. I'm still holding onto 2 seats trying to finally make a decision. My estimate is probably 10-20 seats per school.

Ernie
My school used 3 waitlisted students, so with a class of only 30, that was 10%.
