Moderator ventana Posted March 15, 2018 Moderator Share Posted March 15, 2018 NO TEXTing on this issue face to face only - with a resignation letter giving 2 weeks notice act professional, hold head high, and leave.... I was in a BAD ER and after about 6 months I was afraid for my license. I let them know that I was likely not staying. They then had the balls to try to lay me off immediately. I referenced the contract which said we both had 90d notice.... and I had not given mine yet. The next shift they accepted my resignation with 90d notice. with in a year 1) ED medical director was put on probation from licensing board 2) company that had previously staffed the ER was released (had been there for many many years) 3) lead doc retiredl 4) my replacement was a PA whom had just lost a huge med mal case for sending a floppy baby home...
