kbarsness
I have three C's on my transcript: A 5 credit Spanish class and a 4 credit Shakespeare class I took my freshman year, as well as a 3 credit food science class last semester. Is it advisable to re-take classes that are not science classes? From what I understand, caspa averages out the two grades when a class is re-taken, not replaced? So realistically, even if I re-took one of these classes, it wouldn't really affect my gpa?
Moderator LT_Oneal_PAC Posted February 20, 2012 Moderator Share Posted February 20, 2012 Yes, CASPA* does average out the two grades. No I wouldn't retake non-science classes.
mackjacks
I also wouldn't re-take them. If you have time for classes I'd take an upper level science or two, that would probably improve your application more in the eyes of admissions committees. coolbreeze
I agree with the above posters. I wouldn't worry too much about the literature classes. Take upper level bio classes, it can add to your science gpa.
