LKPAC
I just heard that when referring a patient to a specialty, that the specialty provider MUST be a doc, not a PA for a new visit. Is this true?
Reality Check 2
I looked through the Tricare website and couldn't find any references to such except the idiot part about PAs not ordering DME. I always saw our Tricare ortho referrals before the doc ever did. Their website is not very helpful to providers. Looking forward to hearing what others are experiencing. nateb
I often receive consult notes for my patients with PAs doing the initial eval. Not sure how the practices actually code these. (I'm an Army PA - all my patients are active duty) Sent from my SM-J500N0 using Tapatalk
