Army Reserve Incentives & USAR Duties as a PA

Recommended Posts

I left active duty last year after a three year stint. Been thinking about going back into the Reserves and have been talking to the local recruiter. Recently, he told me the new incentives include BOTH a $50K cash bonus and $75K for loan repayment. This is over a 3-year contract.

I've never heard of both of these being offered together before, so I wanted to see if anyone else had any knowledge or experience, and more generally if there are any PA's on here in the Reserves that can give insight into what their drill weekends are like, what the flexibility is for performing your drill time other than the drill weekend (e.g. if you have to work at your regular job, other obligations), and how reserve duty compares to active duty.

Any advice or feedback would be appreciated!
