dream2pa
Respected PA members , I have a PA acquaintance who has been mentoring me for some time. She is not my friend or related to me. I know her thru common connections. She has agreed to write me LOR however her office policy does not allow students to shadow. I have over 50 hours of shadow experience and about 7000 hours of direct patient care. My question is can she still write me a LOR even if I didn't shadow her ? She knows me quiet well and has been helping me with the admission process for some months. Please advice Thank You
cop to pa
There's no requirement (unless a specific program wants it) that a PA writing a LOR must be one you shadowed. You're fine.
