cdcd67
Hi guys! I finished my Fall semester of PA school a little while ago and one of the classes I struggled the most with was clinical medicine. I was wondering if anyone has any good book recommendations for it. I'm looking for something that's concise and perhaps has charts in it. Any suggestions/recommendations? What did you guys use? Thanks in advance for your help! GeneValgene
harrison's! j/k :) i did have some classmates who liked the merck manual or washington manual but like you, i like super concise. step up to medicine is great (and an easy read to boot), but is overdue for a new edition. i would get step up, refer to the unofficial errata here, and supplement by keeping pocket medicine handy. for ob-gyn, i liked blueprints. for peds, i liked BRS. good luck! chiaroscuro27
I agree with the above. What really helped me was the Case studies series. These books come in all flavors (Ob/GYN, surgery, etc.) and what's great about them is the teaching points are in bullet point format, and each case is followed by a small quiz. Check them out!
