jwelter05
I recently came across a patient in my practice that reported having burning mouth syndrome.... Does anyone have any success or experience in treating this? She is 65 year old female, no significant PMH, negative GI work up.
jmj11
I have and have had the best luck with anticonvulsants. Many of my patients have tried natural supplments first (magnesium, Alpha Lypoic Acid and others but I have not seen any of them work so far. I have seen gabapentin to be helpful as well as pregabalin (not indicated and thus not covered), lamotrigine and zonisamide.
