gohuskers
Hello all! Thanks for all the help on this forum! I just wanted to ask about becoming a professor/instructor within a PA program. CAAdmission
A first good step is beginning to establish a relationship with a program by becoming a clinical preceptor, or offering to give a lecture or two on areas that you have some expertise in... Acebecker
If you want to be faculty at a university, you will need to establish yourself as an academic. This means that you will need to publish. There are some people who can get hired with a bachelor's , but for the most part you'll need a master's at least - from what I've seen, PhD is not necessry. Otherwise, what CJ said. Another big consideration is benefits - if you get into a state school and are absurdly lucky, you might be able to get yourself onto a pension plan. In my experience, many folks take a pay cut to go into academics...
