sweetlew
I am curious to see how other applicants are filling out the "Experiences" portion on CASPA. Is it okay to separate healthcare experience/patient care experience, employment, and volunteer work in their own individual "chunks?" That is what I did. Within those categories I then ordered them in reverse chronological order. There are other ways I have considered ordering my experiences, but I was curious to know how admission committees prefer to read them. Also, is there anyway to move experiences around without having to delete all of the ones I added after it?
Anhdm2
They arrange them by what type of experience they are and the date on your actual application once it is submitted.
sweetlew
Thank you!! I did find this on the CASPA website though: "Your experiences will be listed in the order that you enter them, with the first entry listed at the top and subsequent entries listed underneath, regardless of the dates entered." Do you think this means that they will be listed in the order that we entered them JUST while we are working on our application? Then, as you said, the order will change once we submit the application officially?
Anhdm2
Oh, my mistake. I just happened to enter all of my experiences in chronological order except 1... It appears that they are listed in the order that I entered them, it doesn't rearrange them to be in chronological order. Hope that helps!
sweetlew
I am still curious to know if reverse chronological order is just as acceptable as chronological order. For some reason this little detail is bothering me!
NeuroNate24
1. If I Shadowed a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) for 6 hours for one day, is that worth mentioning in the experiences section under health care experience/shadowing experience or is it considered too little hours? 2. Do your experiences have to be listed chronologically in order or is that simply preferred by the admissions committee? Please write back ASAP. cop to pa
1. Just one post is needed for anyone topic. Multiple doesn't help you garner more aid. 2. List it. 3. Just do chronological.
