Administrator rev ronin Posted May 22, 2015 Administrator Share Posted May 22, 2015 How many patients do they expect you to see? I don't understand the productivity numbers. Do you? Health Insurance--you have to pay 30% of premium? What are the deductibles and coinsurance on top of that?
treejay
Good mentorship opportunities? Other experienced providers on site? The # of patients you are expected to see a day, as a new graduate, is huge. Try and get a good sense for this. It's really important at this point of your career that you have access to good learning opportunities
ohiovolffemtp
For comparison, in my part-time job at an urgent care I get $55/hour as 1099 employee. This includes all time spent completing charts at end of day. Patient load varies, but 2-3/hour is typical. One thing to think about, unless the UC is busy, you're likely to be the only provider, so you'll be missing a chance to learn from experienced providers, whether other PA's or docs.
