cordelia*8 Posted May 25, 2015 Share Posted May 25, 2015 I initially had a lot of trouble finding PAs who would allow me to shadow in the Portland area, but working my contacts, sending emails to clinics all over town, faxes to clinics out of town, and asking co-workers for help has led to racking up plenty of hours for this application cycle. bleu Posted May 26, 2015 Share Posted May 26, 2015 I sent about 10-12 handwritten letters to PAs in the Portland area and ended up finding 4 different ones that allowed me to come in and shadow. They didn't necessarily respond immediately after receiving a letter from me, but they did respond. I shadowed in family practice, pediatric ortho, thoracic surgery, and derm.
